CIA Teaching (Fall Only):
Design Research (3cr - FA), 2nd Year ID Studio (3cr - FA)/3rd Year ID Studio (3cr FA)/4th Year ID Studio (3cr - FA) - concurrently & 4th Year INTA Studio (3cr - FA).
The combined 2nd/3rd/4th year Tuesday has 15 students working on 3 different projects and getting 3 different sets of lectures/demos. Additionally, the 4th year INTA student and I agreed to meet on Thursdays to simplify Tuesdays - I'm working with her on learning to build architectural models (in support of her thesis).
Design Research is a completely new course, so I'm developing the lectures before each session.
CIA Service (Fall Only):
Planned the Design Studio clean-up and set-up.
Worked with Steven Gutierrez in support of division activites.
Spent significant time planning future ID curriculum. This included defining a research process, organizing an information gathering session with professionals, surveying every ID program in the US, formulating scenarios, creating a proposal and rewriting courses.
Worked with Matthew McKenna IML, including creating a survey for community members and planning Fall and Spring Co-creation sessions (in-progress IML Virtual Production Studio pictured).
Collaborated with Anthony Scalmato, Jeff Simonette, Harrison Walsh, Jason Tilk, Lincoln Adams and Linda Post on planning ProjectXR (schedule, budget, process & related courses), which would allow us to experience virtual production workflow prior to offering services to the community. The proposal was submitted in early August and requests were ultimately not supported.
Participated in the Open House.
Continuing discussions with NAC/US Army Relationship with the goal of securing a funded project.
Began planning for the 2025 Auto Show.
