CIA Teaching:
2nd Year ID Studio (3cr - FA), 3rd Year ID Studio (3cr - FA), 4th Year ID Studio (3cr - FA), Sabbatical (SP).
Developed ID BOOT CAMP is intended to address inconsistency in basic skills.
Found a sabbatical teaching replacement (Jenny Olsen)
Replace the past shop TS with a more knowledgeable and experienced individual.
CIA Service:
Planned the Design Studio clean-up and set-up.
Conducted several in-depth qualitative interviews with recent alums and professionals, focused on gaining information valuable to curricular revisions (male, female and minority perspectives). Based on auto industry feedback we added automotive visual communication instruction as a stop-gap to adding a ranked faculty member with automotive design experience.
Designing and seeking funding for the Hive Workstation which will meet current/future needs and creates potential for alternative revenue for the college.
Meeting with Rep. Marcy Kaptur to discuss government project involving CIA students.
Traveled to Detroit on behalf of CIA development to meet with major auto manufacturers and participate in the alumni event.
Facilitating a CIA workshop for the CMA Ambassadors Program. The program brings top regional high school students to the art museum for specialized event.
Presented to Parker Hannifin.
Participated in Fall Open House.
Working with MOCA to identify a student who could design a seating solution for the museum, then mentoring the student through the process. Additionally, the success of this effort lead to a spring design competition to develop the second version. I worked with MOCA during my sabbatical, then mentored student teams who participated.
Provided mentoring (during sabbatical) to St. Gobain competition teams.
Met with Steve Gary of the Cleveland MetroParks to discuss potential projects.
Attended every BFA and Commencement while on sabbatical.

Professional:
Participated in the CIA Faculty Exhibition.
Through Abeo Design LLC formed and agreement with CIA to provide 32 Hive Workstations (delivered October 2012 - pictured).
Hive Workstations were purchased by the Stanford University Meyers Library (10% of profit went to CIA).
Travel took me to Pittsburgh, Boston and Chicago to explore significant art/design-relate locations.
