CIA Teaching:
2nd Year ID Studio (3cr - FA), 3rd Year ID Studio (3cr - FA), Business & Professional Practices (3cr - FA), 3rd Year ID Studio (6cr - SP), Business & Professional Practices (3cr - SP).
Added a 3-week Design History Workshop (Brian Baker) for Design Students, which focused on product, graphics, transportation and architecture.
Added formal MOCA furniture competition to the ID Junior curriculum. The final review was held at MOCA and the winning student was given a stipend and budget to build the piece, which was displayed at the museum.
Held the Design Language Final Reviews at a photograph studio and the Botanical Gardens.
Developed the nCamp Stove as a demo to kick start the Design Language project - teams were struggling.

CIA Service:
Planned the Design Studio clean-up and set-up.
Guest Faculty, Central Academy of Fine Art (CAFA) in Beijing (Oct 2013) – Conducted one-week workshop for International Foundation Students (pictured).
Co-keynote, Swaglok Innovation Awards Event (Jun 11, 2014) – Presentation about a formula for Innovation (with Grafton Nunes).
Meetings (in person or by phone) with Apple, TARDEC, Chrysler, TTi, Stryker, Rubbermaid, PolyOne and Hy-Ko.
Secured a Stryker Sponsored Project (power tools) (funded).
Interviewed prospective students/families, including CAFA students who were touring US schools.
Planned the move from the old campus to the new.
Presented at the Board Orientation.
Participated in Open Houses/Accepted Student Events.
Attended a biomimicry-related NSF grant planning meeting at Akron University.
Organized events around the Auto Show (exhibit & symposium) and collaborated with Admissions to make this a recruitment event.
Assisted with Spring Design Show planning & promotion. Moved the event to MOCA to connect with our soon-to-be neighbor. Included an IA Advisor Event and a speaker series (David Laituri of OneHundred).

Professional:
Participated in the CIA Faculty Exhibition.
Consulting work for Pulsar.
Expert witness in IP litigation case.
Managed Hive Workstation deliveries.
Developed the nCamp Stove.
Assisted board member Don Insul with speculative projects.

Co-Author, ‘The Industrial Design Reference & Specification Book’ (originally published in 2006 as ‘Process, Materials, Measurements’).

Misc:
Very challenging 18 months, where my daughter was born, my mother passed away and my family moved.
Hosted party for graduating ID students.
